Cut Orthoceras fossils from Morocco. An orthoceras is an extinct family member of the nautiloid that is still found in the world. The orthoceras lived between 488 and 199 million years ago and was found all over the world. The fossils are very detailed and show the fine lines of the fish bones.
There is something extremely special that these creatures lived so long a go and preserved so well in these stones.
Because these are products of nature they are all different in their size, colour and shape.
